Loose Mineral Foundations
Recommended tools: Kabuki brush, flat-top buffer and/or sponge (flocked or other); concealer brush for foundations, veils and concealers; setting and/or hydrating mist
*Dry Method
Tap a small amount of product onto a flat surface, such as a jar lid or small dish. Firmly press and swirl your brush or sponge into the powder, working in the minerals. Tap excess powder back into the dish. You should not see a lot of powder on the brush head.
Starting at outermost face, working inward, lightly buff the minerals onto the face (and neck, if desired). Coverage will begin to "meld" into the skin. Repeat application until the desired look/coverage is achieved (typically, 1-3 layers). Spritz face with choice of setting or hydrating mist.
*Concealer
Recommended tools: Concealer or large synthetic foundation brush; setting and/or hydrating mist
Tap a bit of foundation and/or powder concealer product/s onto flat surface or dish. For optimal results and performance, use a concealer brush. Firmly dip the brush into the powder and tap off the excess. Use the concealer brush to go back over and "paint" areas where concealing is needed (eye area, nose, blemishes, etc.) until desired coverage is achieved. Spritz face with choice of setting or hydrating mist.
*Wet Method
Recommended tools: Kabuki brush, flat-top buffer and/or sponge (flocked or other); concealer brush; setting and/or hydrating mist
Add 3-4 sprays of setting or hydrating mist into a small dish. Tap in a small amount of loose mineral foundation to achieve a watercolor consistency, adding more setting or hydrating mist as needed. Spray your brush or sponge with setting and/or hydrating mist, dip into the mixture and apply to face, working from outermost face inward. If using a sponge, pat the minerals onto face using a "stippling" motion. If using a brush, apply in circular motions. 1-2 layers are typical.
Concealer
Recommended tools: Concealer brush or large badger foundation brush; setting and/or hydrating mist
Add 1-2 sprays of setting or hydrating mist to dish. Tap in a small amount of foundation or concealer product/s. Spray brush with setting and/or hydrating mist and dip into the mixture. Use the concealer brush to go back over and "paint" areas where concealing is needed (eye area, nose, blemishes, etc.) until desired coverage is achieved.

As finisher: Reduces shine, softens and sheers the look and edges of mineral blushes and eye colors, pulls your total look together. Depending on product choice, can impart a matte or illuminating finish.
Loose Mineral Blushers/Bronzers
Recommended tools: Short-handle flat-top, kabuki, blush or powder brush
Dry method
Tap a small amount of blush or bronzer into a lid or small dish. Dip your brush into the powder and tap off the excess. Apply to cheeks in a "pork chop" shape, just under the eyes, but not below the bottom of the nose. After applying to cheeks, take a small amount of desired product and lightly dust over face on areas the sun would hit naturally, in a "3" shape on both sides of the face. If you get too much, use veil/finisher to mute and soften the edges.
Damp method
Recommended tools: Short-handle flat-top, kabuki, blush or powder brush; setting and/or hydrating mist
Tap a small amount (only a few grains are needed with this method) of blush or bronzer into a lid or small dish. Spray your brush 1-2 times with setting and/or hydrating mist.
Loose Mineral Eye Shadow
Recommended tools: Chisel brush, deluxe angle fluff brush, liner brush; primer product; liner sealant; pencil
Apply primer product of choice, if using, waiting a moment for it to set. Tap small amount of eye color into lid or small dish. Dip brush into the powder, tap off excess. Apply loose mineral shadows by patting into place, rather than swiping. Blend well. Line eyes using mineral pencil or by using a darker eye color dry or wet with liner sealant on a fine brush.
